Health care – greed saves lives?
OK the insurance companies and their bought off politicians and treasonous mass media keep saying things like:
- We have the best health care in the world -
Like any third world country we have the best and thge worst. Sure if you are rich and have the greatest insurance that money can buy USA has great (perhaps the best) health care in the world but we are pretty low in terms of the health care the average American receives and our life expectancy is lower than that of Jordan but slightly better than that of Libya. - Eight five percent of the people are happy with their health insurance.
Lies, damn lies and Republican propaganda – about fifty million uninsured, another fifty million underinsured, and another fifty million scared to change their jobs since they have pre-existing conditions. - Competition is good.
If the current system worked we would have no problems and no need for reform. The only competition I see is how to bilk us out of our money and give giant bonuses to the insurance company fat cats. - It’s all about malpractice insurance.
Some psychologists have developed a way to to watch new doctors out of medical schools for fifteen minutes as they interact with patients and predict with 85 percent accuracy their chances of being sued for malpractice. Rather than tort reform (which may be needed) get medical schools to teach better bedside manners. - Government option stops competition by being too competitive
No comment – did someone with the intelligence of Sarah Palin or George Bush come up with that one. - Do you want a government bureaucrat to decide on youe health care choices.
I for one would trust a government bureaucrat a thousand times more than a heartless greedy insurance company bureaucrat whose sole job is to deny medical access in order to increase the greedy insurance company’s bottom line.
